The Punisher Arrives
Daredevil Season 2 is really two shows in one — and the first half might be the best thing Marvel has ever put on television. Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle is a force of nature, and his philosophical debates with Matt Murdock about the nature of justice created some of the most compelling television of the decade. The rooftop conversation between Daredevil and Punisher remains one of the most quoted scenes in Marvel history.
The Stairwell Fight
If Season 1 had the hallway fight, Season 2 answered with the stairwell fight — a brutal, extended sequence that somehow topped its predecessor. The choreography, the stakes, the chain wrapped around Daredevil's fist — it was a masterclass in action filmmaking on a TV budget.
Elektra and The Hand
The second half pivots to Elektra and The Hand mythology, which divided fans. While Elodie Yung brought incredible chemistry with Charlie Cox, the ninja storyline couldn't quite match the grounded intensity of the Punisher arc. Still, it set up The Defenders and gave us one of Marvel's great tragic romances.
