Mustafa Shakir's Bushmaster was everything Season 1's Diamondback wasn't — a villain with legitimate grievances, cultural depth, and physical presence that matched Luke blow for blow. His Jamaican heritage and nightshade-powered abilities brought a supernatural element that elevated the street-level action.

Mariah's Final Form

Alfre Woodard's Mariah Dillard completed her transformation from reluctant politician to full crime lord. Her descent was Shakespearean in scope — a woman who convinced herself every terrible act was justified. Woodard's performance in the final episodes was Emmy-worthy.

Heroes for Hire
